Have you been characterized as "Disorganized" throughout much of your life?
Have you read self-help book after self-help book with the idea of getting better organized?
Do you avoid having family or friends visit you in your home?
Do you expect to be disorganized for the rest of your life?
If the answers were YES to these questions, you could be described as being Chronically Disorganized.
Chronic Disorganization can be caused by many things. Some of these causes are neurologically-based conditions, mental health issues, aging issues, grief or other crises.
While finding the cause for Chronic Disorganization isn't always necessary, finding ways to live with Chronic Disorganization can help many people to live happier, more productive lives.
An excellent resource for Chronically Disorganized individuals is the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization. We'll continue to discuss Chronic Disorganization in future posts.

Some of us chronically disorganized, or those not "born organized," need actual therapy. Then there are those of us who just need organization therapy. We need someone to help structure our lives, without trying to make us perfect. The turning point in my life came when I wanted to change enough to do whatever it took. I found online helps, which led me to flylady.net. She's not for everyone, but the Flylady, along with information and encouragement from others such as you offer here, changed my life!
