What do Teachers and Professional Organizers have in common? They work with individuals to find the best learning environment that works for their unique style and needs.
We could say that our school teachers taught us almost everything we need to know about organizing.
In honor of National Teacher Day on May 6, here's a short list of valuable organizing concepts our teachers helped us a learn:
A place for everything and everything in its place. We had coat hooks just for our own belongings. a desk provided a finite space for our books and papers.
Label everything. Remember how the teacher directed, "Take out a piece of paper and put your name on it?" With many students in the class, each paper needed to be identified.
You can do it! Our teachers were masters at motivation! They helped us work to our potential, whether we were learning to read or to become neater handwriters.
Take a break. While recess might be a child's favorite time of the school day, as adults we often forget to take recess for ourselves to refresh and reload our senses.
